Overview of Activity
We have 3 paracord crafts for you to complete:
- a Paracord Woggle
- a Paracord Buddy
- a Paracord Yoda (most complex)
All activities will need some parent supervision as hot flame and hot plastic is involved
Paracord Buddy
You will need the following from the pack
- the 65cm length of paracord – Coat and Arms
- the 45cm length of paracord – Body and Leds
- Marble / wooden bead
- Keyring
You will need the following from home
- Coloured Pens
- Scissors
- Lighter (Suggest a long handle lighter)
- Metal spoon
Instructions
- Take your 40cm of cord this is going to be your body and feet
- Thread your keyring on this cord
- Then fold your cord in half and push both loose ends through the wooden ball.
- Tie a small overhand knot in one end of the cord to make one of your feet
- Now tie a small overhand knot at the end of the cord to make the other foot
- Now, with adult supervision, take your lighter and gently melt the ends of the cord (the feet) to seal them – use a spoon to push the melted cord into the knot
- Be careful, it can be very hot
- Next you are going to make the body
- Take your second piece of cord
- Starting at the feet and working towards the head, you are going to tie cobra knots, alternating each knot the side is done on
- Follow the video to do this
- Keep working down the body until it is the length you want
- You should then have 2 excess bits of cord either side – these will be your arms
- To finish the body, tie the overhand knots (like you did on the legs), snip the excess cord and melt the ends
- Now draw a face
- You now have your paracord person!
Turk’s Head Woggle
You will need the following from the pack
- the 1m length of glow in the dark paracord65cm length of paracord
You will need the following from home
- Scissors
- Lighter (Suggest a long handle lighter)
- Metal spoon

Paracord Yoda
You will need the following from the pack
- 122cm green paracord
- 122cm gold paracord
- 10cm additional gold paracord
- Marble / wooden bead
- Keyring
- Scissors
- Lighter
- Metal spoon
You will need the following from home
- Scissors
- Lighter
- Metal spoon
Instructions
- Follow the video above.
- You will need an adult to help with the cutting of the paracord and melting the ends
